Associate Public Law & Regulatory

Our Brussels office is looking for an Associate who is passionate about Public Law & Regulatory matters, which includes (renewable) energy topics.

Our Public & Regulatory group advises national and international companies in the chemical, energy, and pharmaceutical sectors, amongst others, and also frequently represents the interests of a broad spectrum of government agencies, including the Belgian State. Highlighted work includes advising and litigating with respect to environmental and urban planning issues for Belgium's largest energy supplier, and legal assistance with large renewable energy projects. Our practice in Brussels also provides expertise in public procurement law and public private partnerships ('PPP'). The team consists of several seasoned litigators and is renowned for its expertise before the Council of State and the Constitutional Court.

You are

A self-reliant professional with a team spirit who likes to work in a professionally demanding environment.

Your skills and experience

  • Belgian master's degree in law with good academic results
  • Experience (at least 4 years Bar or In-House lawyer) is a must
  • Dutch speaking with a very good comprehension (reading and listening) of French and a very good command of English
  • Excellent legal and analytical skills
  • A practical mindset and a hands-on approach
  • Willing to learn and grow
  • Business minded with an
  • eye for pragmatic solutions
  • Able to prioritise and manage effectively multiple tasks
  • Empathic team player
